Kostas Zourzoukis
Clinical Mental Health Student Intern (He/Him)
As an experienced school counselor, Kostas has 11 years of mental health counseling experience and more than 16 years in education, advising and mentoring. He is currently completing a post-master’s certificate in clinical Mental Health counseling at George Mason University, where he also earned his master’s degree in counseling and human development with a concentration in School Counseling.
Kostas’ professional approach has been shaped by the values emphasized throughout his training, including holistic well-being, cultural responsiveness, social justice, and ethical practice. Working from a client-centered framework, he is grounded in respect, curiosity, and collaboration. Kostas strives to create a space where people can feel ground, accepted and fully themselves. His goal is to support clients in developing the insight, skills and confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience and purpose.
Outside of his professional work, Kostas enjoys traveling and expanding his perspective through meaningful experiences. Having visited nearly 30 countries, he values opportunities to better understand people, cultures, and environments. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, and being outdoors; whether hiking, kayaking, skiing, or simply relaxing by the pool.
